Thanksgiving Curbside Giveaway

There are lots of ways to help during this holiday season. Janet Levy, a Palm Beach philanthropist, has sponsored a Thanksgiving Curbside Giveaway in coalition with a local non-profit organization, Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope, to help families going through cancer treatments during these difficult times. The event took place at North Fire Rescue Station #2.

Book Signing Event | Ala von Auersperg | Danielle Rollins

On a recent Saturday Ala von Auersperg (a.k.a. Princess Annie Laurie von Auersperg, Ala Isham, the daughter of Martha "Sunny" von Bülow and Prince Alfred von Auersperg) hosted a book signing party for Danielle Rollins. The event took place at Auersperg's new eponymous boutique on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, FL. Her new acquaintance Danielle Rollins is a designer, social hostess, and a recent transplant to Palm Beach, The pair met through a network of creative, interesting women and influencers, Auersperg tells me. This is the second book for Rollins. It was a beautiful alfresco event with style, rosé, and obligatory masks. I had to interview at a safe distance.

Polo | US Open Championship 2015

They call it the "sport of kings." Today is the final match of the U.S. Open Championship at the International Polo Club Palm Beach. If you are someone like me and do not know much about the game, here is a digest. There are four members on a team. Each player is rated. The total rating of the team is its handicap goal. The ratings differ slightly in different countries (from -2 to 10). The sport is dominated by players from Argentina. There are 6-8 periods in a game, called "chukkas" or "chukkers," 7 1/2-minute each. During the halftime, the spectators are invited to the field for divot stomping. The winner is team Valiente. This is my first polo game I ever attended. It's 90ºF, and I definitely would not mind some Veuve Clicquot. Cheers! Wellington, Fla. April 19, 2015
