Galerie Jacques Lacoste makes its debut at the TEFAF New York fair presenting a living room stand with a selection of furniture and art pieces from the 20th century. Jacques Lacoste is a grandson of a famous tennis player known as The Crocodile, René Lacoste. His father, Bernard Lacoste, made the company into a billion-dollar enterprise. Jacques Lacoste ventured into something different. In 1986, he founded the eponymous gallery in Paris. The gallery is a well-known specialist in decorative arts of the 20th century. Monsieur Lacoste gives his highlights of the featured works in the stand. Among them are Mae West sofa by Salvador Dalí, several works by the Giacometti brothers, sculptures by Joan Miró and Ossip Zadkine, and lacquered panels by Jean Dunand. New York, NY May 10, 2024
