The Pagani Residences is the newest spot in Miami’s growing real estate scene. Goritza Draskovich, the director of sales, gives us a sneak peek at this exclusive new development. Designed by the Pagani brand, known for its high-performance cars, this boutique building is still in the pre-construction phase but is set to rise 30 stories high, with just four apartments per floor. The apartments will range from two to four bedrooms, each offering unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay from large wrap-around terraces. Located in North Bay Village, an island nestled between Miami and Miami Beach, the development is promising to be a residential oasis with parks, pedestrian walks, tennis/padel/pickleball courts, and a shopping mall. There’s also chatter about Lionel Messi building a soccer training facility on the island. Some of the unique features of the building include private boat docks, a rooftop pool, spa and massage rooms, and a continental breakfast in the residential lounge. Buyers will have the chance to customize their apartments with choices for kitchens, flooring, and more. Buyers will have the opportunity to personalize their apartments with a variety of customizations, including kitchen and flooring finishes. Additionally, a range of concierge services will be available, with a la carte options for added luxury. The estimated occupancy is expected between the end of 2027 and early 2028. Art Basel Miami Beach 2022
This year, Art Basel Miami Beach is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Over 280 galleries are participating in the fair. Ursula Casamonti of Tornabuoni Art gave me a tour of her booth, which is dedicated to the Italian art of the 20th century. One of the distinctions of the Miami edition is a big presence of Latin American galleries. Meet Dan Galeria and Nara Roesler, both from Brazil, which are showcasing artists from different countries of the continent.
Art Basel Miami 2021
After a skipped year due to the pandemic, Art Basel Miami is back. It's December in Florida, in the high 70s☀️, and it's Miami Art Week here. There are several smaller shows happening simultaneously, including Art Miami and Context Art Miami, art events and installations at Faena Art Forum. It's impossible to be everywhere (I'm a one-woman band after all), but here is my (limited) take on it. Like in Basel earlier this year, masks and wristbands are required (I got a nice pink one). Despite the pandemic, the show attracted about 60,000 visitors, lots of first-timers - both among the visitors and exhibitors. I heard that the entry requirements are more lenient this year, and some art is quite perplexing (I left it out 🤷🏻♀️ but I am no expert), and the rumor goes that some old-timers are not happy...The poster child of the art world, NFTs are ubiquitous (I covered NFTs last year in one of my posts). After three years of schlepping around art fairs, I finally can recognize same artists and galleries, and the experience is not a complete vertigo, but still overwhelming especially carrying all my equipment like a sherpa. But I wouldn't do it any other way, and the best thing about shows, is meeting new interesting people. I just wish I could do more and better... Whoever is watching, if only one person, enjoy and thank you! Plain Jane 😘
ModArt Gallery | Art Wynwood
"We're newborns," says Norka Martinez, referring to her art gallery "ModArt." It opened its doors a year and a half ago in the Design District, Miami, FL. Venezuelan native Martinez is a former musician turned art collector and a gallerist, patronizes up and coming young artists, like Charles Molina. Here's to someone to watch. Galleria Ca’ d’Oro | Art Wynwood
Gloria Porcella, the owner of Galleria Ca' d'Oro, has an eclectic collection of "mostly European artists" at Art Wynwood 2020. The gallery name, she explains, means "golden house" after a Venetian palazzo. Porcella, originally from Rome, expanded the family gallery into the US and currently has two locations - in Miami and New York. February 15, 2020
