Boccara Gallery at the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show 2019

Last but not least, one of the notable exhibitors this year at the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show is the Parisian gallery “Boccara.” Art dealer Didier Marien has brought an impressive collection of tapestries ranging from antique to contemporary. They are unique because “there is not [sic] so many on the market, it’s museum quality,” says Marien. He likes to mix different epochs and styles. Thus, the Renaissance piece “Le repas de Psyché” (Dinner of Psyche) was part of the royal collection of Louis XIV. Among the featured modern artists are Wassily Kandinsky, Sonia Delaunay, Jean Lurçat and Victor Vasarely. In addition, Boccara represents contemporary sculpture and mixed media objects. Marien invites everyone to visit the Galerie Boccara in Paris. February 18, 2019

Macklowe Gallery at the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show 2019

The revamped Macklowe Gallery, New York, NY, has something new this season besides the new Park Avenue address (they moved from Madison Avenue). In addition to the three pillars that the gallery is known for -- French Art Nouveau furniture and decorative arts, the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany Studios, and antique and estate jewelry -- Benjamin Macklowe, the second generation art dealer, is bringing a contemporary jeweler from India, Neha Dani. Exquisite pieces evoke autumnal colors of dry leaves, branches and petals. This is Macklowe's 15th time at the show and he says "we're really enjoying the process of enhancing their [Palm Beachers] collections." February 18, 2019
